  • Unlike commercial detergent soaps that contain synthetic materials and chemicals that strip your skin of it's natural oils, our Handmade Soaps are made using natural butters and exotic oils to give you soft, clean skin without the harsh chemicals.

    What is soap?
Soap is one byproduct from a chemical reaction between the fatty acids in fats and/or oils (animal or vegetable) and the caustic agent, sodium hydroxide (lye). The caustic agent busts up the fatty acids and the molecules recombine to produce the soap and glycerin along with a lot of heat and some water. This chemical reaction is called saponification.

Handmade soaps retain their glycerin, a natural humectant that draws moisture to the skin. Glycerin is removed from commercial soaps and sold separately as a by-product. This is why commercial soap results in dry, itchy skin. Now that you know the difference between commercial and handmade soaps, which would you use on your skin?
